- Representative Toshio Hamasaki founded Minato Seiko at Nishi Oi Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo.
- April 1973
- Organization changed to Minato Seiko Limited Company with capital of 2 million yen.
- May 1980
- Headquarters factory relocated to Minami-Oi Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo.
- July 1980
- Organization changed to Minato Seiko Co., Ltd.

- Capital increased to 8 million yen.
- October 1981
- Sony Corporation contributes to the quality and increase production of the walkman and is awarded.

- Expansion of second factory in Omori, Ota-ku, Tokyo.

- Quality control level achieved by Sony Corporation "certified voluntary quality management company" to be certified.

- Closing the second plant of Omori together with the addition of the Yokohama plant in Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture.
